Our Balloonflower Root is sourced from standardized ecological medicinal planting bases in Northeast China, Shandong and Anhui. Raw dried balloonflower roots go through washing, peeling, slicing, manual sorting, impurity removal and fine screening under strict herbal processing standards.
Finished balloonflower root is cylindrical or spindle-shaped dried root slices. Pale yellowish-white to light yellowish-brown, with naturally wrinkled surface. Texture firm and brittle, fracture showing radial cracks. Slight natural herbal aroma, mild bitter taste. Free of mold, rot, moth-eaten spots, sulfur fumigation and bleaching treatment. Rich in platycodin saponins, polysaccharides and flavonoid active compounds. Widely used in traditional herbal compound prescriptions, throat-support formula blending, health‑support raw materials and botanical ingredient supply.
