Premium Dried Polygonati Rhizoma (Huangjing)
Our polygonatum rhizomes are sourced from standardized ecological GAP planting bases in Hunan, Anhui and Guizhou. Fresh rhizomes are dug in spring and autumn, cleaned to remove fibrous roots, fully steamed through and low-temperature dehydrated under strict medicinal processing standards.
Finished Huangjing has three official pharmacopoeia grades:
• Big Polygonatum: Fleshy nodular blocks, over 10cm long, 3–6cm wide; pale yellow-brown surface with clear ring nodes and circular stem scars; hard & tough texture, horny cross-section, sweet taste with strong stickiness when chewed.
• Chicken-head Polygonatum: Curved conical nodules, 3–10cm long, 0.5–1.5cm diameter; semi-transparent pale yellow surface, thin longitudinal wrinkles, round stem scars.
• Ginger-shaped Polygonatum: Linked long nodules, uneven length; greyish yellow rough surface, prominent disc-shaped stem scars on each segment.
All batches are free of mildew, rot, hollow fragments, worm-eaten spots, bleaching or sulfur fumigation. Rich in polygonatum polysaccharides (≥7% complying with CP standard), steroidal saponins, flavonoids, amino acids and trace minerals, widely used in TCM to tonify qi, nourish yin, invigorate spleen, moisten lung and tonify kidney essence.
