In summer 2026, major production areas of green and red prickly ash in China enter the peak harvest period. The harvest of green prickly ash in Jiangjin, Chongqing has been finished. Benefiting from favorable weather, this year’s crop boasts rich numbing flavor and better quality with a slight output increase. Sichuan and Yunnan areas launch harvest afterwards to realize year-round staggered supply. Da Hong Pao red prickly ash from Wudu (Gansu), Hancheng (Shaanxi) and other regions is in full harvest. Ample new crops lead to lower bulk purchasing prices, while premium graded products keep steady quotations. All peppers are sorted and dried under standard procedures.
