Our Bufonis Venenum is the dried gland secretion of Bufo bufo gargarizans and Bufo melanostictus, sourced from standardized processing bases in Shandong, Hebei and Jiangsu. Fresh serous fluid is collected in summer‑autumn seasons, filtered and dried under strict pharmaceutical processing standards without iron‑metal contact.

Finished bufonis venenum appears as flattened round lumps or irregular flakes. Color ranges from brown to reddish‑brown. Lump form is hard and tough, fracture corneous with slight luster; flake form is brittle, semi‑transparent at broken surface. Slight fishy odor; taste starts sweet followed by long‑lasting numbing‑spicy sensation; powder may cause sneezing upon inhalation. Free of soil impurities, mildew, moth damage, adulterants and sulfur fumigation. Rich in bufogenins, bufotoxins and indole alkaloid active compounds.
