Premium Dried Pinellia Rhizome (Banxia)
Our Pinellia Rhizome raw materials are sourced from standardized ecological planting bases in Sichuan, Guizhou and Hubei. Fresh tubers are harvested in summer, cleaned to remove soil and fibrous roots, processed and low-temperature dehydrated under strict medicinal processing standards.
Finished Banxia is spherical, some slightly oblique, diameter 1–1.5cm. Surface off-white or pale yellow, with subtle root marks and sunken stem scars; texture solid and dense, cross-section white, powdery. Light unique herbal aroma, mild spicy taste. No mildew, rot, hollow tubers, worm-eaten spots, bleaching or sulfur fumigation. Rich in alkaloids, amino acids and sterols, widely used in traditional Chinese medicine to dry dampness, resolve phlegm, descend adverse qi and arrest vomiting.
