Botanical Source: Trionyx sinensis Wiegmann (Trionychidae family)
Our turtle shells are sourced from standardized ecological soft-shell turtle breeding bases in Hubei, Anhui and Hunan. Fresh back carapaces are thoroughly boiled to remove residual meat, washed clean and fully sun-dried under strict medicinal processing standards.
The finished carapaces are oval or oval-round, arched on the back. Outer surface dark brown or blackish green with fine reticular wrinkles; inner side off-white with protruding spine and 8 pairs of symmetrical ribs. Hard texture, slight fishy natural odor, no rot or mildew. Free of residual meat, sand, artificial additives, bleaching or sulfur fumigation. Rich in calcium carbonate, amino acids, collagen and trace minerals, recorded in Chinese Pharmacopoeia for nourishing yin, clearing hectic fever and softening hard masses.
